Masterplan for a special community in a special place. This project is about energy and environmental conservation utilising local skills and material and the preservation of the New Zealand Maori Heritage. The design on a 3.5 hectare site provides for individual houses of three generic designs, underground and aboveground, turf roofs, all dispersed around a central community core facility.
